Kia Speed Skating Academy
In
the south German place of Inzell, we will start an international Kia
Speed Skating Academy. We have bought the old hospital in the town and
we have done this in close cooperation with the local government. The
mayor of Inzell has put in a lot of effort to ensure that we could
purchase the building.
The building will now be completely renovated into a nice and cool
place where "skaters from all over the world" can stay to be part of our
international development training group in order to train at the
highest possible level. Everything will be arranged to create the best
surroundings. We will have the best coaches (the first one is Canadian
Jeremy Wotherspoon, who is the current World Record holder 500m) to
ensure that skaters will develop into world class skaters.
The official opening will be on March 10, 2011 and in May 2011 the first training group will start training.
