Jayms Dee Morrison. People usually call me Jay
2 What is your nationality and from what region are you coming?
Fort St John, British Columbia, Canada
3 What date is your birthday and in what year are you born?
August 5, 1983
4 Are you living in the same city where you were born?
I now reside in Calgary.
5 How tall are you?
6'3" (189cm)
6 How heavy or light are you?
195lbs. (89kg)
7 What is the length of the blade of your skate and what is your shoe-size?
Blades are 17.5" and I skate on a 43 boot (10.5 american shoe size)
8 In case you look in the mirror, what colour do your eyes have?
Brown
9 How do good friends call you, do you have some nick-name too?

10 Do you have a brother and/or a sister? And do they skate as well?
One sister, Julie, and a Brother, Denny.
11 Did you connect yourself already with someone? I mean are you married?
Married, no
15 Do you believe in a God or 'that there is something else'?
Yes
16 Now you are a speed skater you cannot use what you studied in school but what kind of schools or studies did you do anyway and for how long?
I like math, physics and drafting. I would like to do something with design later in life like Urban Planning, or Engineering.
17 What kind of work did you do before you started skating and are you still working next to your skating career?
I go to school at the same time as skating... I study Geography and Transportation Science.
19 If you train and live your life as you do, you will burn a lot of energy so, you need to get new energy by eating. What do you need to eat for fully recover and what kind of food do you like the most?
I like to eat Pasta, especially lasagna. I also like nearly anything bar-b-qued, especially T-bone steaks!
20 And what is your favourite (non)-alcoholic drink?
Chocolate Milk
21 It is well known that top sport athletes have to travel a lot and live months and months in hotel rooms all over the world. A favourite way of spending time is watching movies. Which movie is your best ever and please, tell us why?
I like The Usual Suspects because it is very clever. I also like James Bond because they are corny (which I find funny) and always have great action. I really like movies with Will Farell too, he is hilarious.
22 Also waiting on airports or during long-distance training sessions, good music will help focus and motivate. Which music bands and/or artist do you like the most?
Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chillie Peppers, The Wallflowers, Moby, No Doubt (the old stuff though!)
25 Which car would you buy if you ever can? And do you have a car right now?
If I had enough money, I would buy an Aston Martin
26 You have seen a lot of countries but which country do you like the most and for what reason?
I like Canada the most because it is very diverse in landscape and people. There is also no shortage of open land and wilderness.
49 Why you started speed skating anyway and how old were you at that time?
Started skating when I was 4. My parents wanted me to learn how to skate, but I was too young for hockey.
50 Which sport(s) did you do before speed skating and what made you decide to choose for speed skating?
Well, i never did too many sports before speedskating, but I did many others in school: soccer, volleyball, basketball, badminton, track, and cycling.
51 What kind of other sports are your favourites?
I really like soccer and volleyball
52 What was your first important speed skating event and how did you race?
Jr. Trials in St. Foy, Quebec. I raced pretty good I think.
59 At which ice-rink do you feel 'home' and which one do you consider as 'the best'?
Calgary is my home rink and I think its the best too.
60 How many hours do you sleep per day,or per night? And can you sleep easily during important events? Do you meditate or something like that?
I sleep about 8 hours per night. I can usually sleep pretty well during competitions.
