Sprinter Claudia Wallin has chosen a different nationality. She was always in possession of both a Swedish and a Polish

"With a new gleam in my eyes, I started a new chapter in my life. I have changed my three crown coat of arms to the white Eagle and I'm happy to announce that from here on I will represent Poland," says Wallin.

"
I had two amazing and learning years in Holland, but it came to my knowledge that one can only go so far and with the wish for the Olympics I felt that I needed leave everything behind. Especially having a good team around me was of great importance to me.

I now train with the Polish Sprint team, with skaters such as Artur Nogal (500m Junior World Champion 2010) and Artur Was, lead by the national sprint coach Andrzej Swiecinski. We are already at our third camp and next up will be ice camp in Minsk. I'm enjoying to finally be able to live an athlete life; eat, train, sleep. And I'm eager to kick-start the season with Poland on my back. "
